kateoplis: Chinese authorities have finally acknowledged police action against Ai Weiwei. The news agency, Xinhua, announced that the police are “investigating him for suspected economic crimes,” but the single-sentence report was deleted shortly after it appeared and it didn’t directly refer to his detention.
